Cost to be dropped in Baldwin film set taking pictures

Prosecutors in New Mexico plan to drop an involuntary manslaughter cost towards Alec Baldwin within the deadly 2021 taking pictures of a cinematographer on the set of the movie Rust, Baldwin’s attorneys say.
“We’re happy with the choice to dismiss the case towards Alec Baldwin and we encourage a correct investigation into the info and circumstances of this tragic accident,” Baldwin’s attorneys Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro mentioned in a press release.
Prosecutors didn’t instantly touch upon the case.
Baldwin and the movie’s weapons supervisor Hannah Gutierrez-Reed have been each charged with involuntary manslaughter within the taking pictures.
Baldwin was pointing a pistol at cinematographer Halyna Hutchins throughout a rehearsal when the gun when off, killing Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza.
Baldwin has mentioned the gun went off by accident and that he didn’t pull the set off.
An FBI forensic report concluded the weapon couldn’t have fired except the set off was pulled.
The case towards Baldwin had already been diminishing.
A weapons cost that may have meant a for much longer sentence had already been dismissed, and the primary particular prosecutor within the case resigned.
