Etihad Airways has introduced plans for a fourth A380 route, with the addition of superjumbo providers to Singapore subsequent 12 months.
The Gulf provider’s A380 plane will fly each day between Abu Dhabi and Singapore from 1 February, 2025, changing the Boeing 787-10 which at the moment plies the route.
The A380 schedules will see flight EY0496 depart Abu Dhabi at 2205, arriving into Singapore at 0935 the next day, with the return leg EY0497 leaving Changi at 1925 and touchdown again into the UAE at 2320.
It had been reported earlier this year that Etihad would enhance its Singapore path to twice-daily from mid-December, but it surely appears the provider has now opted to as an alternative increase capability by rostering the bigger A380 onto the route.
The transfer marks a continued renaissance for Etihad’s superjumbos. The addition of superjumbo flights to Singapore will see the provider carry a sixth A380 again into service.
