Joffre Lakes Day-Use Passes and Closures for 2024

BC Parks, Líl̓wat Nation and N’Quatqua have partnered to handle Pipi7íyekw / Joffre Lakes Park. With the elevated variety of guests to the park, this partnership will assist to stability the elevated variety of guests to the park with sustaining and conserving the pure and cultural values of the area.

In the course of the 2024 summer season season, free day-use passes will likely be required and there will likely be just a few full closures of the park.

Park Closures

Joffre Lakes Park will likely be closed on the next dates in 2024:

  • April 30 – Could 15 – to assist Indigenous-led cultural celebrations, together with Stl’atl’imx Days – a celebration of the Declaration of the Lillooet Tribe on Could 10, 1911.
  • June 14 – 23 – To assist summer season solstice and Indigenous Peoples’ Day celebrations.
  • September 3 – October 6: To assist Indigenous fall harvesting practices and the Nationwide Day for Reality and Reconciliation.

Day Use Passes

A free day-use cross will likely be required to entry Joffre Lakes beginning Could 16, 2024. Passes may be reserved starting at 7am, two days earlier than visiting the Park and may be finished on-line by way of BC Parks’ website.

There will likely be 500 day-use passes and 26 tent pad areas out there to order every day all through the summer season season throughout the opening instances.
