Ukraine strikes Christmas from January 7 to December 25

Ukraine’s parliament has voted in favour of fixing the date of the Orthodox Christmas vacation from January 7 to December 25.
The purpose of the invoice submitted by President Volodymyr Zelensky is the “dissociation from the Russian heritage”.
Two of the three giant church buildings with Orthodox standing had already determined to vary to the Gregorian calendar.
In 2017, December 25 was made a non-working public vacation.
Ukraine’s largest Ukrainian Orthodox Church with long-time ties to Moscow has but to touch upon the change.
It has celebrated the vacations in accordance with the Julian calendar utilized by Russia.
Since Russia’s annexation of Crimea in 2014, Ukraine has been making an attempt to chop ties to its Soviet and Russian previous.
The all-out invasion of Ukraine 16 months in the past intensified these efforts.
